GreedFall Launches for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, New Expansion is Out as Well

Spiders' action RPG touts visual and technical enhancements on the next-gen consoles, while the new expansion brings a new location and new enemies.

Spiders’ action RPG GreedFall surprised a great deal of players when it launched last year, offering an experience the likes of which BioWare used to be known for, and though limitations of budget and development resources were clear to see in the game itself, it was still, by and large, a commendable game. Now, it’s launched for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Check out the launch trailer below.

On the new consoles, GreedFall looks better, runs in 4K, and also supports 60 FPS in its performance mode, while load times have also been improved. Free upgrades to the next-gen versions are supported if you already own the game on PS4 or Xbox One. Those who got the game on the former via PS Plus will not be able to get the free upgrade though, even though Xbox Game Pass subscribers will.

Meanwhile, the game’s new expansion, The De Vespe Conspiracyis also out now for all platforms, with a new location, new enemies, additional story content, and more on offer.

In our review of GreedFall, we awarded it a score of 8/10, calling it “a welcome arrival in the fantasy RPG space”. You can read our full review through here.
