Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition has seen number of leaks, both before its official announcement and after it, and it’s no surprise that that’s continuing. What is surprising is that this leak comes from Rockstar itself. Details on the trilogy and what sort of enhancements it will bring to the remasters of GTA 3, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas haven’t yet been officially unveiled, but as spotted by members of the GTA forums, a support page that went up before it was supposed to contains various details about what to expect.
There will be various visual improvements, as you’d expect, which includes “brilliant new lighting and environmental upgrades, high-resolution textures, increased draw distances”. Rockstar is promising “across-the-board enhancements” that will “bringing these beloved worlds to life with all new levels of detail.”
One of the most notable changes that the trilogy’s remasters will be making to the original games, though, is the implementation of targeting and controls similar to what’s seen in Grand Theft Auto 5, as opposed to what was used in the original games. Those controls are pretty outdated at this point though, so this doesn’t come as a huge surprise.
Meanwhile, the trilogy’s minimum and recommended PC requirements were also mentioned. Check them out below.
