After Microsoft announced that Halo Infinite would support ultrawide and super ultrawide displays on PC, 343 Industries demonstrated how the campaign would look with some new screenshots. Though these are all work-in-progress, the amount of detail and effects along with the lighting quality and atmospherics are very impressive. Check them out below.
Development lead Mike Romero also confirmed that Ultrawide (which applies to aspect ratios like 21:9, 32:9 and “beyond”) will support everything. This means in-game action, menus, narrative moments and so on. So if you have an ultrawide display and have been looking for the game to properly showcase its potential, then Halo Infinite may be the answer.
Halo Infinite is currently slated to release in Fall 2021. It’s coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC (on the Microsoft Store and Steam) along with launching day one on Xbox Game Pass. Multiplayer will be free-to-play and supports cross-platform play and cross-progression across all platforms. Stay tuned for more details shortly.
