The bulk of 343 Industries’ attention is focused on Halo Infinite, which has a major update inbound season with the upcoming Season 2: Lone Wolves. But even though 343 said last year that it’d be stopping the seasonal post-launch model for Halo: The Master Chief Collection as the studio shifted focus to the aforementioned Infinite, it seems 343 still isn’t done with adding to the compilation just yet.
The developer recently detailed a major new update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Halo Waypoint, which brings several headline additions. One of these, as teased recently, is the addition of Flood Firefight in Halo 3: ODST, which also comes with various improvements, including new Flood enemy types, Flood being able to operate vehicles, UI and quality-of-life tweaks, and more.
Meanwhile, cross-play campaign co-op across PC and Xbox consoles is now also possible for Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODTS’s campaigns, while 343 Industries has also added campaign customization for Halo 4, which will impact weapon skins similar to how it’s done in Combat Evolved and Halo 3.
You can get all the details on what the update brings through the Halo Waypoint link above.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection is available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
