Halo The Master Chief Collection

While 343 Industries preps for Halo Infinite’s next Season, Lone Wolves, it also has a long-awaited mode coming to Halo: The Master Chief Collection this week. In a recent tweet, the developer teased that “something new” is inbound with an image of a player fighting off the Flood. Long story short, it’s Flood Firefight.

Firefight, which is part of Halo 3: ODST, is more about fighting off the Covenant across a set number of waves and rounds. How the Flood will factor into this remains to be seen but it should be the closest thing to an AI “zombies” style mode in the series yet. Stay tuned for more details when the mode is live.

As for Halo Infinite, Season 2: Lone Wolves launches on May 3rd. It adds two new maps, Breaker and Catalyst; new free armor cores; and even some new modes like Last Spartan Standing and Land Grab. Improvements to the Battle Pass like more customization items in the free track, 1000 Credits for Premium Battle Pass owners and more are also incoming.
