With Microsoft confirming plans to discuss the future of Xbox on February 15th with the Official Xbox Podcast, everyone is wondering which first-party titles could arrive on other platforms. Sources familiar with the company’s plans revealed to The Verge that Tango Gameworks’ Hi-Fi Rush and Obsidian’s Pentiment are the initial two titles launching on PS5 and Nintendo Switch.
As for Sea of Thieves, it’s planned to arrive later this year for other consoles. Other first-party titles are “under consideration,” which lines up with rumors for titles like Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 and Gears of War. Other titles like Starfield and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle are up in the air, especially with follow-up reports of the former claiming that PS5 version of the former isn’t happening after all.
Regardless, we’ll need to wait for more details. Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer told employees in an alleged town hall meeting last week that these plans won’t affect the production of Xbox consoles.
