Hitman Beta Will Be Available to All PS Plus Subscribers Next Week

'Open' beta.

If you are a subscriber of PS Plus, like Hitman, and missed out on the closed beta for the new, upcoming game that was held earlier this month, then you are in luck- another, more open beta will be held nextweek for the game, allowing all PlayStation 4 owners who are also PS Plus subscribers the chance to have a go at the game. The beta will be available to everyone on PS Plus starting March 4.

“Our initial beta was an extremely helpful moment for our new Hitman game, as it gave us great insight into how the server game mechanics function under pressure,” said IO Interactive studio head Hanne Seifert. “A lot of those pressure points are currently being strengthened for release.

“Now Sony have given us the opportunity to go even bigger to validate some of the initial things we saw. Therefore we are inviting everyone who is a PlayStation Plus member to try the same beta and you don’t have to pre-order the game. This will allow us to really stress test our server setup, which is a crucial element for us to get just right.”

Currently, this more ‘open’ beta is scheduled only for PS4- it hasn’t even been announced for PC yet (and Xbox One doesn’t get any beta tests for this game at all). Hitman itself is due out on March 11.
