Hogwarts Legacy Might Get Delayed to 2023 – Rumour

It's been claimed that the fantasy action RPG's development isn't proceeding as planned, and its release might get pushed back further.

Hogwarts Legacy was officially announced after a couple of years of leaks back in 2020, but since then, there’s very little that has been said about the game by developer Avalanche Software or publisher WB Games. And though it’s currently scheduled to launch sometime in 2022, it’s possible that it might not hit that intended launch window.

Speaking during a recent episode of his Sacred Symbols podcast, former IGN journalist Colin Moriarty said (via VGC) that based on what he’s heard behind the scenes, Hogwarts Legacy has run into development troubles, and the action RPG might not launch in 2022.

Avalanche Software recently said that it would have more details to share on the game this year, while rumours have suggested that a new trailer is going to be released at PlayStation event in February. Warner Bros. itself has previously suggested that the game won’t be out until at least after April 2022– though of course, no specific launch window has been nailed down within the year so far.

Whenever it launches, Hogwarts Legacy will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
