Hogwarts Legacy

Since announcing Hogwarts Legacy, WB Games and developer Avalanche Software have been awfully quiet about it. Other than delaying it into 2022, in fact, they’ve said next to nothing about the game. Recent reports, however, have claimed that a new trailer is arriving soon, with rumours even claiming that the game was originally scheduled to show up at The Game Awards, only to be pulled off the event’s docket at the last second.

Developer Avalanche Software recently took to Twitter to break its silence- though not in the way many had hoped. Wishing fans happy holidays, Avalanche wrote that the studio is “excited to share more news and update on Hogwarts Legacy next year.”

“Next year” is, of course, quite a vague window, and there’s no telling at this point if a new trailer is indeed imminent the way some rumours have claimed it is, but some will still be relieved that the developer has said something about the game.

Earlier this year, Warner Bros. suggested that Hogwarts Legacy would launch sometime after April 2022. Read more on that through here. Meanwhile, it was recently also confirmed that the game is receiving development support from Sumo Digital.

Whenever it launches, Hogwarts Legacy will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
