Publisher EA and developer Ascendant Studios have announced that first-person magic-based shooter Immortals of Aveum is out now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Leading up to its launch, the game had gotten a launch trailer released earlier this week.
Immortals of Aveum puts players into the shoes of protagonist Jack, who joins an elite order of battlemages in order to save the world. The game takes place during a period known as the Everwar in the fantasy realm of Aveum, and promises a cinematic, narrative-driven campaign that’s packed with action that, according to the developers, will “defy genre conventions”.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that Immortals of Aveum would require 70 GB of storage space on the PS5. Other details about the game indicate that it will feature support for FSR2, and will run at 60 FPS on consoles.
Leading up to its release, Immortals of Aveum has seen a number of different trailers, ranging from ones focusing on cinematics, to detailed deep dive into the game’s progression systems and Talent tree.
