Ascendant Studios "will be going quiet as the team transitions into our new project," CEO Bret Robins has said.
Immortals of Aveum is getting a boost in visual fidelity and performance on all platforms thanks to its latest update.
Ascendant Studios previously laid off 45 percent of its staff following Immortals of Aveum's commercial failure last year.
Ascendant Studios' magic shooter will be the first game to implement FSR 3 frame generation on consoles.
They will be joined with roguelike platformer Skul: The Hero Slayer, with all games going live on April 2.
The first-person shooter's development costs were reportedly $85 million, with publisher EA spending another $40 million on marketing.
"We are talking to them about getting the game onto both of those services," says Ascendant Studios CEO Bret Robbins.
"Trying to create awareness for us was really, really difficult. It's always hard for a new IP and this year made it 10 times harder," says Ascendant Studios CEO Bret Robbins.
The latest update for Immortals of Aveum was released alongside a new free demo that shows off the game's newer features.
The free update also adds new areas which players venture to through Shatterfanes, additional lore and a new boss fight.
Ascendant Studios CEO Bret Robbins made the announcement with a statement on social media platform X.
If you find the brightness too dark or bright when playing on consoles, this update fixes it and several other big issues.
Ascendant Studios' long-in-development first-person shooter offers some decent visuals and a solid cast but little else.
Despite offering a lengthy single-player campaign, cutting-edge visuals and more, Ascendant Studios' magical FPS falters considerably.
With the game targeting 60 FPS while targeting next-gen Unreal Engine 5 features, it seemingly makes significant sacrifices on the resolution front.
Immortals of Aveum is a magic-based shooter that features a narrative-driven campaign and hopes to defy genre conventions.
The single player magic shooter will require a minimum of 70 GB of storage on PS5, as per the back of its physical box.
Ascendant Studios' single player first person magic shooter launches on August 22 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
"As a result, every console version will run at 60fps at your TV’s maximum resolution thanks to the upscaling magic of FSR2," Ascendant Studios confirms.
An SSD comes recommended for the first person magic shooter's PC version, while 70 GB of storage space is also required.
