Microsoft pulled all stops this year in order to ensure that it would achieve the maximum amount of sales in the US this November- the biggest shopping month of the entire year. There were multiple bundles, price drops, retailer deals, and more. And now, market analysis firm InfoScout seems to think that all of it may have worked, as they are reporting that the Xbox One managed to win out Black Friday after all, representing over 53% of total game console sales on that day.
There are a couple of caveats- first, of course, this is only regarding sales specifically on Black Friday, so it is actually entirely possible for PS4, or even Wii U (though the latter is extremely unlikely, of course), to have beaten out Xbox One in total sales for the month, with Xbox registering only a victory on November 28.
Still, it’s probably more likely that Microsoft’s measures to ensure a sales victory last month paid off. The data regarding these sales can all be found on InfoScout’s website, if you wish to peruse it further, but if you would rather wait for something more official, NPD’s report comes out next Thursday. Stay tuned.
