Inspired heavily by Blizzard Entertainment’s OverwatchMarvel Rivals allows players play as 33 different Marvel heroes at launch. Upon release, the game has also kicked off Season 0, titled Dooms’ Rise, which sets up its central premise, seeing Doctor Doom as the central villain, and the multiverse coming together to fight against a common threat. Check out the trailer below, which shows a story cinematic for the season (and also features the eldritch supervillain Knull).

The game’s first full season is due out in January. Each season will bring new heroes, maps, Team-Up Abilities, and more. As previously revealed by NetEase Games, the game runs on 60-tick rate servers, and also allows for region selection.
