The roadmap for NetEase Games’ Marvel Rivals has been revealed, confirming the number of playable characters (33) and maps (eight) available at launch. You can check out the latest revealed location – the Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda – but what about other aspects like server tick rate?

Creative director GuangGuang confirmed in the same roadmap video that the free-to-play title would have 60-tick rate servers at launch. The team is also expanding the available regions and will provide a server node selection option. You can select several regional servers, thus cutting down on matchmaking time.

Players who don’t mind dealing with higher ping could also potentially include servers farther away from their region to further reduce wait times. A dedicated server node site will launch soon, providing even more details, so stay tuned.

Marvel Rivals launches on December 6th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, with Season 0: Dooms’ Rise. It will last for one month and offer a battle pass priced accordingly. In January 2025, Season 1 kicks off, adding new content and cosmetics.
