Marvel Rivals Trailer Reveals Tokyo 2099 Map

Featuring a blend of futuristic and traditional Japanese environments, a giant multiversal rift in the sky, and more.

Marvel Rivals will see players battling with and against each other while playing as a variety of different Marvel heroes and villains, but given its nature as a 6v6 hero shooter, the arenas that you’ll be fighting in are going to be just as crucial as the characters you’ll be playing as.

After introducing a new location form the game in the form of Yggsgard earlier this month, developer NetEase Games has now unveiled another new map- Tokyo 2099. As its name suggests, the map is set in a futuristic version of the city, combining sci-fi and traditional aesthetics. Controlled by the megacorporation Alchemax, under the ever-present shadow of their police force Public Eyes, and with a giant multiversal rift in the sky, the city’s got plenty going on. Check out the trailer below for glimpses of what it’ll have in store.

Marvel Rivals is in development for PC. A closed alpha is set to run from May 10-20, featuring 19 playable characters, three modes, and three maps (including Tokyo 2099).
