Marvel Rivals

NetEase Games and Marvel Games have announced a new 6v6 team-based shooter, Marvel Rivals. Coming to PC, with a closed alpha test set for May, it features several heroes from the X-Men and Guardians of the Galaxy to the Avengers, Spider-Man, Hulk and more. Check out the first trailer below, which also features some gameplay.

Each hero sports unique abilities based on their comic book versions. They can also initiate Team-Up Skills for more mayhem. Rocket Raccoon can ride on Groot and shoot enemies, while Hulk can charge Iron Man with Gamma energy (don’t ask how). The announced maps include Asgard and Tokyo 2099, with destructible environments and “countless ways” to leverage one’s surroundings.

Marvel Rivals will feature post-launch seasons bringing new heroes and maps, with further details yet to be revealed. Neither company mentioned whether the title would come to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Stay tuned for more details and updates, as always.
