Marvel, Disney, and Square Enix are teaming up to see if the Marvel brand can take over another branch of entertainment with next year’s Marvel’s Avenger. The game hopes to put us in the shoes of some of the most popular Avengers (though don’t expect any weirdly obscure stuff, you’ll have to check out that other Marvel game for that), and tell their stories in human way. The game got its first demoing this week at the Marvel Games Panel at San Diego Comic-Con, but it was not public for all of us who couldn’t attend the show. But don’t worry too much, the footage will come for the masses soon.
During the panel, Square Enix confirmed that the footage of the A-Day Demo shown would be made public. The bad news is that we’ll have to wait a bit. They said it would release some time in the week after Gamescom, which runs August 20-24. That means we will see that footage some time between August 26-30.
It is a bit of a long wait, but the game is still a good ways out, so we can afford to take it one step at a time until Marvel’s Avengers releases for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia on May 15, 2020.
