So you’ve picked up or been gifted Marvel’s Avengers for the holidays, and have been playing through the campaign. Once the band is back together though, there’s quite a lot of additional content to complete from the Operations featuring other heroes (like the two Hawkeyes and Black Panther) to grinding out Power Level. With the addition of Spider-Man and the Klaw Raid “Discordant Sound”, the Power Level cap has increased to 175.
Regular activities will provide gear up to 140 Power Level so after finishing the campaign, partake in Weekly Mission Chains. The Power Level of your next drop is based on your average Power Level so keep equipping better gear to raise it. You can also play through the Desert Vault which provides a piece of gear that will be +10 Power Level higher than current items. This can be continually farmed as well, making it ideal for quickly leveling (provided you’re willing to slog for it).
Hitting Power Level 150 requires completing very specific missions like the Omega Level Threat: Family Reunion. These reset each week and provide gear that will get you to 150 Power Level. Another great way to boost Power Level is through boosting your Major Artifact which adds +10. It’s also worth noting that gear that’s over 100 Power Level or Epic rarity can be upgraded to the highest Power Level item that you currently have with Fragments and Upgrade Modules. This is a good way to bring a particular gear piece that you may like from 140 to 150.
As such, when you reach 150 Power Level, the Discordant Sound Raid becomes available. In order to reach 175 Power Level, you need to complete the Elite difficulty of the raid, which is only available at 160 Power Level. Complete that enough times and you should hit the 175 cap.
How to Unlock Spider-Man
Everyone’s friendly neighborhood web-crawler is finally available in Marvel’s Avengers, though only for PS4 and PS5 owners of the game. There’s no Operation to complete – instead, just travel to the Helicarrier’s War Table and look for a spider-web on the window to the left. Accessing this will start Spider-Man’s storyline and he’ll become playable. From there you can play through his Heroic Mission Chain (which offers random challenges). Completing the Mission Chain will unlock the Iconic Suit for him to wear.
