Against all odds, it looks like Konami finally got that multiplayer Metal Gear goodness they so badly wanted going- Metal Gear Online for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain seems to have developed a consistent, active community, and it seems to have been a profitable venture for Konami. You know what they say- the third time is the charm.
Next week, Metal gear Online gets Update 1.11, which adds a new Survival mode to the game. Survival mode is closest to traditional multiplayer shooters, and sees two teams of six players each go head to head in an attempt to be the first to achieve a streak of five round victories.
With the mode due next week, we received a brand new video today, that showcases exactly how it will work. There really isn’t much to it- but if you want to see how a traditional shooter can be adapted to the Metal Gear mold, I think you will find it interesting.
