Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is a major AAA release, so naturally, it is going to have a companion app. The companion app for The Phantom Pain functions similarly to how the app for Ground Zeroes did- it will let you view and manipulate the in game map on your phone while you are playing the game.
That’s not all, either, as any music that you find in the game while playing it by coming across one of the numerous cassette tapes dotting the game’s massive open world will also be available for you to listen to in the app.
The app works with the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Xbox One versions of the game, though it will not work with the Xbox 360 or PC versions of the game, curiously enough.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain launches on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC on September 1. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for further coverage and information.
