Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain- Get The Japanese Voices in the PC Version

If you are into that sort of thing.

Although Metal Gear is universally acclaimed for having excellent English voice dubs, there might be some purists out there who absolutely want to play the game with the Japanese voices on. If you are one of them, you don’t have to import a Japanese copy- as long as you are playing on the PC, you are just one tweak away from turning on English voices.

This news comes to us from DSO Gaming. It’s one simple setting, and you’re good to go. Here is what you must do:

  1. Open Steam
  2. Select Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in your Games Library
  3. Press left mouse button and select Properties
  4. Head over to “Language” and choose Japanese
  5. Press Close and you are good to go

This will prompt Steam to download the Japanese voice pack (which is an extra 10 GB), but I would rather do that than having to import the game, right?
