Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain- Servers Now Working For the Xbox One Version

Finally, the online functionality seems to have stabilized.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain had a difficult launch, but it appears things are finally getting better- the servers for the Xbox One version, for example, finally seem to be online now. This means that a lot of passively online functions that are nonetheless integral to the single player experience, such as FOBs, are now accessible to the players.

This follows Konami having to take multiple features of the game offline in an attempt to manage server strain yesterday; we reported on the issues earlier this week, and suggested that it might be for the best to just play the game in offline mode for now.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is out now on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC. It is the final game in the Metal Gear cycle, bringing Big Boss’ story full circle, and finally showing us his transformation from the celebrated war hero to mercenary terrorist.
