Metro Exodus PC Listed on Microsoft Store, Out on June 9th

4A Games' shooter could be coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC.

4A Games and Deep Silver faced quite the backlash when the PC version of Metro Exodus, the highly-anticipated post-apocalyptic shooter, was pulled from Steam and made exclusive to the Epic Games Store. It also didn’t help that it was just two weeks away from a PC release. However, that period of Epic Games Store exclusivity may be concluding soon for a different storefront – the Microsoft Store.

Metro Exodus has shown up on the Microsoft Store for Windows PC with features like HDR10, a variable refresh rate, Xbox Live Achievements and cloud saves and so on. The kicker is that it’s scheduled to release on June 9th as per the additional information. So what’s the big idea?

It could be available on the recently announced Xbox Game Pass for PC when the service launches. Deep Silver is one of the participating publishers and while Microsoft will provide more information at E3 2019, it did note that over 100 games would be available at launch. Perhaps the standalone price will be revealed once it’s on the service. It’s hard to say at this point but the listing is there, plain as day.

Microsoft’s Xbox E3 2019 presser will take place on June 9th at 1 PM PT. Stay tuned for more information in the meantime, especially with games like Halo Infinite and Fable 4 rumoured to be showcased (along with “something new”).
