Xbox Teases “Something New” For E3

It better not be that new Xbox bodywash.

Microsoft’s gearing up for what’s looking like their biggest E3 ever. With Sony not attending the show this year, they’re certainly primed to steal the show. We’ve been hearing rumblings about a great many things, from new hardware teases, to multiple new first party IPs, to Fable 4 announcement, to even a new FromSoftware title. There’s no way of knowing which of these turns out to be true, but we can safely say that Microsoft’s presser is going to be an exciting one.

And they’re certainly building up the hype as it draws closer, too. Taking to Twitter, the official Xbox account posted a cryptic message, saying they’ve “invited something new” to E3 this year- and that’s it. There’s no follow up tweet, no attached image or clip, nothing at all to clue us into what it might be. As vague as it could get, really.

We can speculate, of course. It could be referring to the aforementioned new IPs, it could be referring to the new Xbox, it could be referring to an xCloud demonstration- or it could be referring to none of the above. Maybe they’ll bring someone from Nintendo to the stage- crazier things have happened.

We’ll find out soon enough either way. Microsoft’s E3 press event takes place on June 10. Stay tuned for all the updates.
