Minecraft: Dungeons Gameplay is Very Diablo-Esque, Out in Spring 2020

Coming to PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One, along with PC.

Yet another delay, this time for Mojang’s intriguing Minecraft: Dungeons, was confirmed at the Xbox E3 2019 presser. The title will now be releasing in Spring 2020 and coming to Nintendo Switch and PS4, in addition to Xbox One and PC. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass. Check out the gameplay reveal trailer below.

The isometric perspective, map, and interface should be very familiar to fans of action RPGs like Diablo. Minecraft’s various tropes transfer over extremely well, as you clear through dungeons full of zombies, skeletons, and other nasties. Some big, boss type creatures are also briefly showcased. Fortunately, you have abilities like a hammer that disperses lightning with every blow and an arcane beam of energy.

Minecraft: Dungeons will also support four player co-op locally and online, letting your friends join in on the slaying. Procedurally generated worlds, Enchantments, classes, and much more also await. We’ll see in the future, but in the meantime, stay tuned for more news from E3 2019.
