Monster Hunter Rise Has Sold 9 Million Units, Monster Hunter World Hits 18 Million Sales

Off the back of its recent PC release, Monster Hunter Rise sells 1.3 million additional units in the three month period ending March 31st, 2022.

Ahead of its massive expansion Sunbreak, Monster Hunter Rise has sold nine million units as of March 31st 2022. This is according to Capcom’s updated Platinum Titles list which tracks all games that have crossed one million units sold. Rise sold 1.3 million additional units since December 31st 2021, in no small part thanks to its PC version which was released in January 2022.

As for Monster Hunter World, it’s still Capcom’s best-selling title of all time with 18 million units sold (which doesn’t include shipments of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition). An additional 200,000 units have been sold since December 2021. Its expansion, Iceborne, has sold 9.2 million units thus far with 400,000 additional units sold since this past December.

Monster Hunter World: Sunbreak is slated to release on June 30th for Nintendo Switch and PC. Capcom recently revealed lots of new details on its newest Elder Dragon, Malzeno; the new Switch Skill Swap; and various subspecies that will be encountered. It’s also released videos on the new Skills that each weapon tree will get, starting with Sword and Shield, Heavy Bowgun and Switch Axe. Check them out here.
