Monster Hunter World Has Surpassed 14 Million Worldwide Shipments

The recent expansion has helped accelerate sales.

Monster Hunter World, Capcom’s best-selling game to date, continues to set sales records for the publisher. At last count, in July, its worldwide shipments stood at 13 million units. Now, Capcom has confirmed via the series’ official Japanese Twitter page that the game has crossed 14 million shipments.

The recent launch of its expansion, Iceborne has surely helped with sales. Though Iceborne is available as an individual purchase for those who already have the base game, Capcom have also been selling the Monster Hunter World – Iceborne Master Editionwhich contains both, the base game and the expansion. The Master Edition has been posting impressive sales figures as well (especially in Japan), and has doubtless boosted sales for the base game.

Meanwhile, Iceborne had already surpassed 2.5 million units in worldwide shipments and digital sales within week of its launch. Its post-launch support train is also picking up steam, while a crossover event with Resident Evil 2 is also planned for November.
