It was recently confirmed that those who pre-order Mortal Kombat 11 would gain access to the game’s closed beta before its launch- but if you’re pre-ordering it on a system other than the PS4 and the Xbox One, that’s not going to happen.
On the official FAQ section over at the game’s official support website, Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment has confirmed that the Mortal Kombat 11 beta will only be available on PS4 and Xbox One. If you’re looking to try out the game before its launch on PC or Nintendo Switch, you’re not going to be able to do that.
For PC players in particular, this might be a bit concerning. Games made by NeatherRealm studios have had a patchy recent record as far as PC optimization and support is concerned, and though they’ve assured fans that they’re going to make sure that Mortal Kombat 11 doesn’t suffer a similar fate, the lack of a beta is bound to be concerning.
A final date for the beta hasn’t been announced yet, but the game itself launches on April 23 for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. NeatherRealm Studios recently unveiled plenty of new stuff from Mortal Kombat 11, from gameplay, to new characters, to story details, and a lot else. Check it all out through the links.
