Given how much hype and anticipation there has been surrounding Mortal Kombat 11 ever since its reveal (even prior to its reveal, in fact), it’s probably safe to assume that a ton of people are going to pre-order the game (or have already pre-ordered it). If you’re planning on doing so, there’s some incentive for you too, as Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has just revealed the pre-order bonuses for the game.

The official Twitter page for Mortal Kombat has confirmed that those who pre-order the upcoming fighter will receive access to the hammer wielding Shao Kahn on the day of the game’s release. Another incentive for pre-ordering the game is access to the game’s closed beta. When the beta will kick off and what it will entail by way of content isn’t something the tweet goes into, but we can probably expect to hear more about that at Mortal Kombat 11’s community reveal event, which takes place in a couple of days on January 17.

What else will be revealed in the community event? Apart from gameplay footage, new characters, and story details, NetherRealm Studios also have a few previous unannounced things to reveal up their sleeves- read more about that through hereMortal Kombat 11 launches on April 23 for the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC- though there’s a chance that its Nintendo Switch version gets delayed by a couple of weeks in Europe.
