So far, most of the marketing for Battlefield 4 has been limited to showing off its admittedly impressive technology, or its multiplayer mode. The single player in Battlefield games has almost always, without exception, been an afterthought at best, so it is not a leap to assume the same will also be true of Battlefield 4.
The trailer that we have above, at least, doesn’t seem to be indicative of that. Admittedly the trailer looks a lot like you would expect a trailer for a Call of Duty campaign to look, but at least that implies that it a) exists, and b) will largely be fun. Call of Duty campaigns get a lot of hate, but they are fun, summer blockbuster flick-esque experiences.
Battlefield 4 is developed by DICE and published by EA. It is developed using the next generation FrostByte engine, and it will be releasing later this year for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC. Stay tuned for more coverage.
