Look, I haven’t been kind to Battlefield 4, we all know that. I’ve constantly called the game out, called EA and DICE out, called them out on their business ethics, their policies, and their general contempt for their consumer. I have called them out on their inability to make a game that is actually a finished product.
But now, after the longest paid beta period in history (… sorry), Battlefield 4 finally appears to be the game we were promised it would be prior to its launch. DICE has released a staggeringly extensive patch, that seems to fix… well, mostly everything that was wrong with the game to begin with.
The full list of updates, if you are interested in seeing it (and be warned: it is long) is available on the Battlelog forums, but the long and short of it is, short of some sort of catastrophic failure because of the patch not playing nice with the game (a distinct possibility with this game, mind you), they appear to have fixed mostly everything that was ailing this game.
Now whether it was too late or not remains to be seen.
