Square Enix and Eidos Montreal have released a collection of screenshots which were lifted from an earlier mission titled Lockdown from the latest addition to the popular Thief series.
The story of the ‘Lockdown’ segment of newest Thief game will center on Garret, who has returned to the city. The baron Northcrest has implemented a city-wide lockdown in an attempt to quell the rebellion, and also to hopefully stunt the spreading of a deadly sickness. This sickness, termed ‘The Gloom’ by city dwellers, infests the minds of it’s victims, giving them horrible nightmares and making the hear voices in their heads.
Garret must reach his hideout, which lies directly through the city lockdown. Along the way he becomes tempted by a snippet of overheard dialogue telling of a nearby jewelry store whose wares are ripe for the plucking.
Thief releases on February 25, 2014 across Windows, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
