Next Layers of Fear Teased With New Artwork, Reportedly Called “Layers of Fears” and Releasing in 2023

Developed on Unreal Engine 5, the horror game is reportedly coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC as per insider Tom Henderson.

Bloober Team is teasing the next Layers of Fear game again, this time with artwork of a dilapidated canvas on Twitter. The description says “Reach beneath the surface and uncover the source of your fears,” which is about as ambiguous as one can get.

The new Layers of Fear is being developed on Unreal Engine 5. Judging from the art motif, it will likely have some connection with the first game where players controlled a painter seeking to complete his next “masterpiece.” According to insider Tom Henderson on Twitter, the official name is reportedly Layers of Fears and it will launch in early 2023 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Given the timing of this tease, perhaps there will be a reveal at the Summer Game Fest on June 9th. The show will focus on previously-announced titles, which the new Layers of Fear technically falls under so it’s possible. We’ll have to wait for more information – stay tuned in the meantime.
