NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… (let’s just call it NieR Replicant for convenience’s sake) is almost upon us, and given its promise of bringing more NieR content that has been updated and upgraded in several ways, it’s obviously an exciting proposition that quite a few people are looking forward to. With its launch right around the horizon, the game has also wrapped up development.
Producer Yosuke Saito recently confirmed on Twitter that NieR Replicant has gone gold- in fact, it apparently went gold quite a while ago. This means the game has wrapped up principal development and is ready to be pressed onto discs for retail, and any and all polishing work will be released in the form of post-launch (or day one) patches.
Saito also says that DLCs are currently in the approval process, and added that details on their contents and their release date will be released later. Previously, it’s been confirmed that the game’s DLC will add new weapons, though more details are yet to be shared.
