Toylogic’s NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… is based on the original PS3 title but that doesn’t mean we can’t expect new content. As Dengeki PlayStation reported, new weapons will be added for free via post-launch DLC. These will also have their own unique weapon stories as well.
NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… tells the story of a boy whose younger sister Yonah is suffering from a strange disease called the Black Scrawl. Embarking on a journey with the talking book Grimoire Weiss, he teams up with quirky companions like Kaine and Emil to find a cure. It quickly becomes apparent that things aren’t as they seem however.
Along with vastly improved visuals, NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… offers smoother, faster paced combat. New music tracks have also been added along with new voice-acting. The game is out on April 23rd for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Check some of the most recent gameplay, which features the Barren Temple and a boss fight, here.
