Free-to-play early access for the hero shooter starts on October 4th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch 2 is still less than a week from release, so a launch trailer sounds good about now. It showcases all the different playable heroes and touts the jump to free-to-play. Check it out below.

Among the 35 unique heroes are three new additions. Sojourn is Damage dealer with a primary assault rifle that charges her railgun for powerful precision hits. Junker Queen is a Tank wielding an axe, magnetic glove, shotgun, and her trusty knife Gracie. Kiriko is the newest Support hero, utilizing a fox spirit to buff allies, Suzu to render them briefly invulnerable, and Ofuda to heal them.

There are 22 maps in total, with six being new. Three are available in the new Push Mode: New Queen Street, Colosseo, and Esperanča. Overwatch 2 launches on October 4th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. It includes cross-platform play and cross-progression.

Overwatch is playable until October 2nd (PST), after which servers will go down to prep for the sequel.
