A new Origin Story has been released for Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch 2, focusing on its latest hero Vivian Chase aka Sojourn. The last major Origin Story trailer was for Overwatch’s Echo in March 2020 so it’s good to get back into the groove. Check out what made Chase join the global peacekeeping organization.
Originally part of the Canadian Special Forces, Chase would work with Overwatch when the Omnic Crisis was in full swing. After the war, Jack Morrison aka Soldier 76 would reach out and Sojourn joined the team, sometimes running point and other times commanding an operation. Her personal mission was to always “bring every last one of them home.” The trailer ends with Chase leaving Overwatch but teasing something new coming up.
Overwatch 2’s closed beta takes place on April 26th for PC so select fans will get to try out the PvP component for the first time. Along with four new maps, the new Push Mode, Ping System and reworks for Sombra, Bastion, Doomfist and Orisa, it will also feature Sojourn as a playable hero.
Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks when the closed beta goes live.
