Overwatch is Free to Play Until April 23rd

Players can access all of the content, including the new Storm Rising mission.

To celebrate the recent Storm Rising event, Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch is free to play on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Though it’s pretty much the full game, players can only access it until April 23rd. The full game is also on sale though, with the Standard Edition on PC seeing a 24 percent discount on the Blizzard Store.

As for what players can expect, there’s the new PvE mission in Storm Rising that takes place in Havana. It sees Tracer, Genji, Mercy, and Winston on the hunt for Talon’s Maximilien. There are two additional PvE missions to be had in Uprising and Retribution, each with their own lore and story.

If you’re interested in PvP, there are 30 different heroes to play as, including the recently added Baptiste, and a number of maps spread throughout different modes. Free players will also be able to earn cosmetics through loot boxes. As is usually the case with its free trials, any cosmetics earned and progress made will transfer over into the full game should you purchase it.
