Persona 5 Tactica Announced, Launches on November 17

Persona 5 Tactics is a turn-based tactics spinoff of Atlus' beloved RPG series and is due out in November this year.

Right before Xbox Games Showcase, two of its biggest announcements were leaked, with Atlus accidentally uploading the announcement trailers of Persona 3 remake Persona 3 Reload and turn-based tactics spinoff Persona 5 Tactica. And of course, after first officially unveiling the former, the developer has formally announced the latter at the showcase as well.

Persona 5 Tactica is putting a very unique spin on the Persona formula in more ways than one. Not only does it sport a chibi-esque aesthetic (which looks surprisingly good, especially where the characters and their designs are concerned), it also showcases the new gameplay and combat system, which sees battles taking place in turn-based XCOM-like grid-based arenas. Check out the announcement trailer below.

Persona 5 Tactica is set to launch on November 17 for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. It will also be available on Game Pass at launch.
