PES 2016 was supposed to have updated rosters for its offline modes, reflecting current season team makeups and statistics, shortly after launch, but the roster update has been delayed- it won’t be coming now until the end of October, more than a month after the game launched. Until then, players are stuck with 2015 rosters for offline play in PES- and understandably enough, they are pissed about it.
The problem is exacerbated because Konami has announced that ‘Live Updates,’ which update the stats of “key players” depending on their weekly performance, and let you use the fully updated rosters of the team of your choice during online play, will be available starting October 1- the delay seems to be exclusively for stat updates during offline play, which to many players, seems to make no sense.
PES’s community manager took to Twitter to apologize for the delay, but nothing can make up for the lingering sense that maybe, just maybe, Konami should have waited until everything in the game was in order to launch it, instead of presumably rushing to beat FIFA to the market.
Which may just be right.
