Rumours have been circulating for a while now that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, the popular battle royale title that kicked off the battle royale wildfire before Fortnite took the world by storm, might be coming to the PS4 soon. After being rated for the system by the Korean ratings board, not so long ago, files for the game were also found on the PSN servers, leading many to believe that it’s only a matter of time before an official announcement is made.
Well, we still don’t have an official announcement, but we do have even more evidence that it’s coming, and probably very soon. A pre-order tab for the game has been spotted on the US PS4 PlayStation Store (via WCCFTech), of which you can see an image below as well. Clicking on the tab, however, only gives you the following message: “This content cannot be selected at this time”.
Again, it has become pretty clear that PUBG on PS4 will eventually happen anyway, especially now that the game is out of early access officially. An announcement should be coming in soon- perhaps at The Game Awards in December? Though it’s likely that they might want to announce it sooner than that.
PUBG is currently available on PC, and Xbox One, as well as on iOS and Android devices. On Xbox, it recently joined the ever-growing Game Pass catalog.
