Quantic Dream’s Star Wars Game is Called Star Wars Eclipse, Will be Announced Soon – Rumour

Journalist Jeff Grubb says the action-adventure title is "ready to be announced soon", and a reveal is expected before the end of the year.

Leaks have insisted since September that Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human developer Quantic Dream is working on new Star Wars game, and now, more new details may have potentially emerged on the project. As shared by journalist Jeff Grubb during a recent episode of his Giant Bomb show Grubbsnax, Quantic Dream’s Star Wars game is going to be called Star Wars Eclipse.

Grubb explained that while he isn’t completely certain about the details of the project, he believes it will be set during The High Republic era. A Star Wars game set in the era has been in the rumour mill for nearly couple of years at this point.

The High Republic era, in case you’re unaware, is set about 200 years before the Skywalker Saga (specifically, The Phantom Menace), and about 800 years after the fall of the Old Republic.

Grubb also added that Star Wars Eclipse is “ready to be announced soon” and will be revealed before the end of the year. The Game Awards seems like a place where the reveal might happen, especially with the show’s producer Geoff Keighley touting a number of new reveals at the event.

A report claimed a couple of months ago that Quantic Dream’s Star Wars game had been in development has been for about 18 months. Allegedly, it will be a full-fledged action-adventure game, unlike the QTE-driven cinematic narrative adventure titles the studio has typically been known for. The game will also reportedly feature open world and multiplayer elements. Read more on that through here.

For now, it’s best to tread with caution where this rumour is concerned, as is the case with any unverified leak, but it looks like we’ll have concrete, official details soon- so stay tuned for updates on all of that and more.
