Rainbow Six has been one of Ubisoft’s biggest money-makers for some time now, and though the lack of a new single player instalment in the series has disappointed some fans, there’s no denying that Rainbow Six is bigger right now than it’s ever been. And it’s only growing bigger still.
Ubisoft has announced updated player numbers for Rainbow Six, and the series’ momentum doesn’t seem to be letting up. Unsurprisingly, Rainbow Six Siege is continuing to grow, having now amassed over 80 million players to date, with 10 million of those having hopped onboard over the last year.
Meanwhile, the recently released Rainbow Six Extraction has already exceeded 5 million players since its late January launch- which, of course, also includes any players it would have brought in via Game Pass and its Buddy Pass. Either way, it looks like solid enough launch. The game had brought in over 3 million players in its first week.
Rainbow Six Siege and Extraction are both available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC, while the latter is also available on Stadia.
