Redfall Still Hasn’t Received Hero Pass Characters Nearly 1 Year After Launch

Arkane Austin promised additional details on new heroes and other updates for later this year, but it's been six months since any updates.

Even with updates, Arkane Austin’s Redfall remains an underwhelming release. However, after celebrating its first anniversary on May 2nd, it’s worth noting that fans still haven’t received the characters promised as part of the Hero Pass.

The Hero Pass is included with the $100 Bite Back Edition, which is still available at full price. Along with the base game, players get alternate outfits, weapon skins and attachments for the core cast, and two future DLC characters. The last update for Redfall was in November, with Arkane promising more details on new heroes and other updates “later” in 2024.

About halfway through the year, there have been no announcements. Maybe Microsoft is saving it for the Xbox Games Showcase on June 9th, with a potential shadow drop. Time will tell, but it’s not doing much to assuage concerns among existing players.

Redfall is available for Xbox Series X/S and PC. Check out our review here and how it went so wrong here.
