Report- New Skyrim DLC to be called “Dragonborn”, lets players mount dragons

Make it happen, Bethesda.

Bethesda might have something a lot more dragon-awesomeness in store for us after the wonderful Skyrim and its recently released DLC, Dawnguard. Apparently, they’ve got a new DLC planned for us which lets us RIDE FREAKING DRAGONS. Yep.

Members over at the Bethesda forums have uncovered files from the recent update to the game that mention “DLC2” and “Dragonborn” several times. Sure, it’s also mentioning the fact that these might be out on the PS3, so for all we know, this is a big, fat joke.

These are the files that mention the DLC:

These are the files that mention dragon mounting and a lot more:

Sounds interesting, certainly. Bethesda did hint at dragon mounting earlier this year. They showed off a tech demo in Skyrim developed by some of the guys in the dev team just for fun, and showed it off, saying it “could” be released later on into the game.

Todd Howard said, very cryptically: “Could it be in a future DLC? We don’t know. Could various parts of it just be released for free? We don’t know.”

Yeah, thanks for that, Todd.
