Resident Evil 2’s highly anticipated remake is merely days away from launch, and millions of series fans around the globe are waiting for its launch with bated breath, as should have been clear looking at the impressive figures for its demo. And as said demo and all the footage that we’ve seen so far for the game have suggested, it’s looking like game worth waiting for, too. The game’s first ever review is out, written by Japanese publication Famitsu (via Ryokutya2089), and the score is further evidence to suggest the same.
The upcoming survival horror by Capcom has received three scores of nine, and one of ten, making for a total review score of 37/40. You don’t need me to tell you that that’s very impressive. As always, a single outlet’s review is not going to define the norm, of course, but it does give us an early indication of the kind of reception the game will probably get, and for series fans and those who’ve been looking forward to Resident Evil 2, that is excellent news.
Resident Evil 2 is out on January 25 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, so you can expect to see even more reviews and impressions to start coming in within the next week or so. Recently, Capcom also talked about the game’s total play time- read more on that through here.
