It’s something of a running gag that the many protagonists of Resident Evil have had a lot of makeovers. With the exception of Leon S. Kennedy (who has kept a relatively consistent look), almost every other major character has had a redesign of some kind since their original appearance. Jill Valentine has probably seen the most. And now, with the RE Engine and its ability to scan in faces much better than the past, it’s time for her to get yet another one.
As revealed by her official Instagram, Russian model Sasha Zotova is lending her face to the upcoming remake of Resident Evil 3 for the main character. She’s among the many classic characters to get a redesign under the new RE Engine, which has seen models scanned with much deeper accuracy than in the past with Chris, Claire and Leon all getting some overhauls due to new models.
We know that the extended cast of Resident Evil 3 will get expanded roles in the remake, but it’s still going to be Jill’s story first and foremost, so we’ll be seeing a lot of Zotova when the game hits April 3rd of next year.
