More than a year on from its release, Capcom’s widely acclaimed remake of Resident Evil 4 continues to enjoy steady sales. The Japanese company recently published its fiscal report for the first quarter of the ongoing fiscal year (which ends March 31 next year), and in the report, revealed updated sales figures for the survival horror remake.
As of June 30, Resident Evil 4 has sold 7.664 million units worldwide. Over the course of the quarter (April-June), the remake sold over 483,000 additional units, so it has continued to sell at a steady rate this far out from its release. Capcom says these numbers also include its Gold Edition, which launched late last year and compiled the base game with its Separate Ways DLC.
Capcom has also revealed that the Resident Evil series has hit 160 million cumulative sales worldwide. Read more on that through here.
