Resident Evil 4 Remake Pre-Loads Go Live on Xbox Series X/S, Requires 67 GB of Storage Space

Capcom's highly anticipated survival horror remake is launching for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on March 24.

Resident Evil 4’s long-awaited remake is launching in under three weeks’ time, and as anticipation surrounding its release continues to build, it has taken another tangible step towards that milestone.

The remake can now be pre-loaded on Xbox Series X/S, and has a file size of about 67 GB on the Microsoft consoles. Presumably, its file size on other platforms will be in the same range. This being Xbox, players can pre-load the game even if they haven’t yet purchased it, for which you’ll need to go through the Xbox mobile app.

How long it’ll be before pre-loading goes live on PlayStation and PC remains to be seen, but presumably it won’t be too long. Meanwhile, Capcom recently also confirmed that a “special” demo of the game will be made available prior to launch, but there’s no word yet on when that will arrive.

Resident Evil 4 launches on March 24 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PC. It will also add The Mercenaries and PS5-exclusive VR mode following launch as DLC.
