Resident Evil 4 Remake VR Mode Receives First Gameplay Trailer and Screenshots

The mode is coming exclusively to PlayStation VR2 as free DLC. Players parry with one hand while shooting enemies with the other.

The VR Mode for Capcom’s Resident Evil 4 Remake finally received some gameplay at the PlayStation Showcase, and it looks pretty good. Exclusive to PlayStation VR2, it allows players to play as Leon S. Kennedy from the first-person perspective, parrying attacks with a knife in one hand and firing at enemies with the other. Check it out below.

Players must also manually reload weapons and fight off the Chainsaw Man with a knife up close. The overall gameplay looks sleek while maintaining the gritty visuals of the reboot. Further details, including a release date, will be revealed later.

The VR Mode is a free DLC for Resident Evil 4 Remake on PS5. It’s the second major update for the title following The Mercenaries (available on all platforms). Rumors claim that Separate Ways, mini-campaign starring Ada Wong, will be added as a paid expansion later this year. Stay tuned for more details on that in the coming months.
